VOICE CONTROLLED JUKEBOX!!!

Zenpoint jukebox working with any alexa device... now you can have voice control of your jukebox.

I've got mine alexa controlled, I can skip tracks, play n pause, rewind, change volume up n down and mute. Still playing about with alexa... but for now its good enough, if anyone interested then just ask on here for info.

got it to work using IFTTT &  DROPBOX.

I would love to know how to control the jukebox with Alexa.

I can currently turn it on and off with Alexa through a smart plug, but can't control it yet.

How did you accomplish this?

you need to install 2 programs on the pc the jukebox is on.

assistant computer control <<< Link this to your dropbox account (the one on the pc jukebox uses)

dropbox.<<<  (on the pc jukebox uses)

install IFTTT on your mobile.. <<< Link this to your dropbox account (the one on the pc jukebox uses

once done and all have been linked OPEN IFTTT and create your applet, this applet is what controls the jukebox via alexa.

in IFTTT there is some already you can use.

sample IFTTT

click the + sign

click if this happens

 

then click on amazon alexa, > click on say a specific phrase ( choose phrase ie: trigger volume 100)

then click on the + then that.

in the search type in dropbox. > select dropbox.

now select create text file.

in the file name section put ( ComputerAction )

in the content section ( set_volume:100 )

in the dropbox folder path put ( AssisantComputerControl/ )

click save.

this will allow you to change the volume by voice on jukebox.
