Covers for videos

[ Back ] [ Reply ] [ Log On ]
I have managed to get mp4 videos to play using the Videocenter tab.
I would like to add a cover to each video, how should I go about doing this?
I have tried to put videos in separate folders with jpeg cover with same name as folder, mp4 but still not appearing.
Any ideas?

To add covers, you just have to put a JPEG image beside the mpg file and name it the same as your mpg file.

How_to_train_a_dragon.mp4
How_to_train_a_dragon.jpg

To add title and descriptions to your movies, just add another file with the same name and with the extension xml.

How_to_train_a_dragon.xml

And make the xml file like this:

<movie>
<title>How to Train Your Dragon</title>
<description>As the son of a Viking leader on the cusp of manhood, shy Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III faces a rite of passage: He must kill a dragon to prove his warrior mettle. But after downing a feared dragon, he realizes that he no longer wants to destroy it. So, he befriends the beast -- which he names Toothless -- much to the chagrin of his warrior father</description>
</movie>

Hi
My videos are in the videocentre folder, I’ve not got them in movies as they are music videos.
I have tried to put each mp4 in separate folders along with a jpeg with exactly the same file name.
They do play but not cover showing.
