I downloaded this Program for the Android as it says on the website it is supported BUT all i can find is how to SETUP for ipad and iPhone I own the Sony Tablet and a blackberry phone but have no idea how to setup for android I have set the Widows firewall rules as per another post on here but how do I control the software from my Sony tablet or Blackberry, Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Brett, I am not familiar with android, but it does have a web browser correct?
You should just be able to open the web browser and go to the ip address and port of your ZenPoint computer. First, you set the firewall rules, then you open the Administration program and make sure you have remote control turned on, then you find your ip address. This can be done in many ways or from Digital Center. In Digital Center, you should see an icon for remote control (under setup if i remember correctly) pressing that will display your IP address.
On your android device, open the web browser and go to http://youripaddress:18000 "youripaddress" of course meaning the current IP address of your Digital Center computer
You also, of course, need to be on the same network. You can from an outside network, but that requires much more configuration.

Yes it does have a browser I have already setup the firewall as per a post I found on here from Zenpoint support I will now try when I get home thanks for the help much appreciated do I need to download a remote control for the android ?

Hi Avg24, Do you know if we are able to add another
category to the software I have some Music Videos which are currently sitting in the Movies category but I would like to separate them from the movies and have them in thier own category and name it Music Videos with AVI support I have emailed support but I think they may have misunderstood what I was after. So in other words we currently have: Clock , Weather, Movies,Music ect I would like to add one saying Music Videos. Cheers

I saw your other post, but didn't respond because I haven't had a chance to use my system in a while, so I haven't played around with trying to tweak or program something. It would be difficult for someone other than the program creator to accomplish this. Since some movie formats are also music video formats, it would require the software creator to add this feature to separate the file folder specifications of movies and music videos.
It would probably be easier to rename the Movie icon to Music Videos, but if you use actually use movies (I do not) then it wont be possible until the function is coded. (Renaming is also not easy, but it is easier than trying to use BOTH movies and music videos)
The only thing you can do (currently, as far as I know) to add another icon is to add an external program link.
This is done in the Administration program under "external programs" (I think that is what it is called)
It wont be clean, but it may work.
Essentially, you are telling Digital Center to launch another program. If you can find something that displays music videos nicely, that will work to separate movies from music videos, but like I said, it wont be a clean looking/functioning interface.

Do you know if this software is open source as they seem to give you alot of things you can do with it as in remove logs and change the intro music I would like to add some features that this software is lacking, my brother in law is a software writer he can add the features for me but I don't want him to do anything that will breach the copyright of the program otherwise as great as this software is I may have to consider something else to give you a quick background I own a jukebox company in Sydney and love this software for our Home jukebox we are developing for the building industry (New Homes) but I would like to add 1 or 2 features to the software first being:
1. Music Video Plugin
2. The Karoake to be able to play WMV files as the current setup is not suitable for this we have alot of Karoake tracks but they are in WMV format.

Ok I have tried the remote control setup in the program sorry but I feel this part of the software is very lite on you can only choose music to play not movies or the other features it has So I looked around the internet and found a program call Splashtop streamer it os great it works on both Android and Iphone Ipads ect it is a remot login into your PC but at least you can us all features of the program. Also It would be nice if support could let us know when w update is going to be available as I have emailed them a couple of times with suggestions but it seems to go on deaf ears. I would like to see the following added: 1. Karaoke plugin to be able to play WMV as the karaoke only plays MP3 + G good luck getting information on how to make MP3 + G 2. Like a few people have asked a Music Video plugin for playing AVI |

Hi anyone actually got the built in remote control to work properly ?, I can connect to my jukebox using my android pad via the browser and get the interface up but nothing works or responds.
I installed splashtop desktop remote as per earlier comment above, it's ok as a work around but is very small to use on a 7" device

I am running XP with no firewall, and I can remote onto the PC fine using other applications, I can get the zenpoint web interface up ok on my pad and Iphone, but it does nothing once connected. |
